Research interests
My PhD project explores the relationship between cheap print and early modern Italian political life; in particular, it aims to assess the effect of the pervasive distribution and consumption of cheap print in post-Tridentine Bologna on the conditions for the exercise of power targeted necessarily at a broad urban audience. My research interests include the relationship between book and print production in the early modern period and the survival and transmission of printed images.
