The primary purpose of the role is to undertake individual and collaborative research activity resulting in high-quality publications and to identify and help develop research funding opportunities.
Having gained proven experience in research and being a specialist in the history of Publishing and print cultures working with the Research Lead in Humanities, you will take appropriate initiatives towards setting up new research projects, contributing ideas and developing research methodologies and techniques. Furthermore, you will regularly publish high quality papers and book chapters in academic outlets and present research findings at conferences whilst contributing as necessary to teaching. This will involve supporting the Publishing team's commitment to research and liaising closely with colleagues in other areas of the Humanities. There will also be opportunities to supervise postgraduate students and other research projects.
