Becoming a member

Who can join?

The project was initially designed for junior scholars – Master, PhD and postgraduate students – but senior scholars interested in Late Medieval and Early Modern books (circa 1400-1600) are of course welcome to join. Scholars interested in becoming members are invited to read the project description and the member guidelines.

If you wish to join, please complete the application form.

Why become a member?

  • Members are listed in the Member Directory.
  • The directory is a good way to make yourself and your research known to the other members and to the scientific community working on related topics, so contacts can be established.
  • Members can see and post on the project's forum.
  • To ask for help about the material they are studying (for example bibliographic advice); find information about libraries they want to visit; find information about a position they would like to apply for.
  • Members can join existing events or add new events to the calendar.
  • From getting to know the other local scholars interested in book history to tracking colloquia around the world.
  • Members will receive e-mail alerts about local or worldwide events (upon request).
  • Don’t miss any event relevant to your research.
