Research interests

My PhD thesis looks at the development of the Compagnie des libraires in Lyon, with a view to how merchant publishing impacted and shaped Lyon as an emerging print centre. My primary focus is on the economics of early modern publishing. I have published on broadsheets printed for Lyon’s city council ca. 1497-1570, and on Luxembourg de Gabiano. Outside of my PhD research, I have interests in ephemeral print, bookselling and collecting, types and typefounding, and Hispanic printing and bookselling. I also work on the MEI project for St Andrews' collection, and on the USTC project.
