The ‘icon turn’ has drawn the attention of scholars to visual material and its interpretation. Image-based search tools to sources and the visual presentation of research results have, however, not emerged equally fast. ETH Library, the Swiss centre for technical and natural scientific information, therefore takes the opportunity of organising the CERL Spring Seminar 2018 at ETH Library to discuss innovative forms of access and visualisation of research results.
